The Ministry of Economic Development has launched the new Innovative Machinery tender aimed at supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MPMI) through the implementation of investment programs that allow the technological and digital transformation of the company or favor the transition of the manufacturing sector towards the paradigm of the circular economy, in the less developed regions (Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily).
The measure supports innovative investments which, through the technological and digital transformation of the company through the use of enabling technologies pertaining to the Enterprise 4.0 plan and / or the transition of the company towards the paradigm of the circular economy, make it possible to increase the level efficiency and flexibility of the company in carrying out economic activity, through the purchase of machinery, plants and equipment strictly functional to the implementation of investment programs, as well as computer programs and licenses related to the use of the aforementioned tangible assets.
Economic activities admitted
Manufacturing activities are allowed, with the exception of activities related to the following sectors: steel industry; coal mining; shipbuilding; manufacture of synthetic fibers; transport and related infrastructure;
energy production and distribution, as well as related infrastructures. Business service activities listed in Annex 3 of the Ministerial Decree of 30 October 2019 are also permitted.
Eligible investment programs must:
- provide for expenses not less than € 400,000.00 and not greater than € 3,000,000.00;
- be made exclusively at production units located in the territories of the less developed regions;
- provide for the acquisition of enabling technologies to enable the technological and digital transformation of the company and / or technological solutions capable of making the production process more sustainable and circular
Businesses will be able to take advantage of the tool, which has a total budget of € 256,000,000, through the opening of two subsidy branches, which will be opened at a distance of no less than 6 months from each other.
For the purposes of accessing the IT procedure, only the following types of proponents are required to send, starting from 10.00 on 14 July 2020, a specific request for accreditation via PEC: companies not resident in the Italian territory; companies managed not by individuals but by legal persons or entities; business networks without legal subjectivity (so-called “contract networks”).
The process for submitting the application for access to the facilities is divided into the following stages:
A) completion of the application, starting at 10.00 on 23 July 2020;
B) submission of the application for access to the facilities, starting from 10.00 on 30 July 2020.
